Uncrushing the Bitcrusher is a project where bitcrusher distortion effects of audio can be created and reversed. The reversible aspect of the bitcrusher distortion comes from the fact that they were created with the quantum audio Python package which when simulated on a classical computer, still applies unitary/reversible operations on digital audio data. This is one use case of the Simulated Quantum Gate Distortion (SQGD) effects.
"Uncrushing the Bitcrusher: The Simulated Quantum Gate Distortion Effects" was accepted for publication (pending small revisions) by the European Physical Journal Special Topics (EPJ ST) for the special edition of Quantum Computing and Musical Creativity: Exploring New Intersections.
